Dive into the deliciousness of our Chai Tea Infused Overnight Oats—a breakfast delight to kickstart your day!

Ingredients

Serves 4:

  • 3 teaspoons Sassy loose leaf tea: our chai tea blend, carefully crafted blend of black tea, sarsaparilla, cinnamon, and liquorice. Enhanced with the subtle sweetness of star anise and the floral notes of rose petals and lavender
  • 1 + 1/2 cups of oats: use whole rolled oats - low glycemic index
  • 3 cups of milk: use any milk of your choosing (look for calcium fortification if you're choosing a plant based milk)
  • 1/3 cup of chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • Extra toppings: yoghurt, fresh seasonal fruit, nuts, seeds: anything you like

Instructions

  • Heat milk and Sassy tea over a medium heat and bring just to simmer. Turn off heat and set aside for 15 minutes to let it infuse. Stir in your honey 
  • Combine oats and chia seeds in a large bowl or container, strain your milk into the oat mix (discarding tea leaves), and stir well. Cover and let your mixture set in the fridge overnight. 
  • The next morning, divide your oat mixture among serving bowls, top with yoghurt, seasonal fruit, nuts, seeds of your choice. Drizzle with a touch more honey for that extra touch of sweetness.
